Hi all. 
So I was thinking and came up with a bunch of ideas for Sandstorm. Here they are. Feel free to use them.

Health. You know how games like FarCry and more recently Rising Storm 2 feature bandaging? Yes. Because regenerating health is the least realistic thing you can do in a first person shooter set in modern/present day setting.

Level destruction. Now I know Sandstorm won't run of the Frostbite engine (lol) but a bit more level destruction would be nice considering the realism of this game.

Weapon setup. Taking a look at how MOH Warfighter handled weapon attachments may be beneficial to the realish of this game.

Weapons. There are a lot of different weapons with different performances in the Middle East and currectly very few are modelled in the game. Here are some weapons I'd love to see:
Security:
-SCAR-L or SCAR-H (Security; AR/Battle Rifle/Carbine)
-G36C (Security; Carbine)
-AK-47, AKM (with a wooden stock), Type 56 and Zastava M70B assault rifles. Having so many 7.62 AK variants can be justified because each one of these rifles varies in performance and cost. Obviously for Insurgents.
-Zastava M92 (Insurgents; Carbine)
-A vanilla SKS (Insurgents; 0 pts carbine)
-MP5 (SMG)
-MP5SD3 (Securtiy; SMG)
-Vz. 61 Skorpion (Insurgents; PDW)
-MP7A3 (Security; PDW)
-M1014 (Security; Shotgun)
-M240 Barvo (Security; LMG)
-RPD and PKM (Insurgents; LMG)
-M110 SASS / KAC SR-25 (Security; DMR)
-SVD Dragunov (Inurgents; DMR)
-Mosin-Nagant with a PU scope (Insurgents; Sniper Rifle)
-M24 SWS (Sniper Rifle)
-a high-accuracy bolt-action for security
-M107 (Security; expensive Sniper Rifle)
-MGL (Grenade Launcher)
-P226 (Security; Sidearm)
-Glock 17 (Sidearm)
-TT-33 (Insurgents; new 0 pts Sidearm)
-Desert Eagle (expensive Sidearm)
Some weapons that are shared between the two factions (such as the MGL) may cost more for the Insurgents.

Newsflash: The AK is rare as **** in the Middle East, it's mostly the AKM, AKMS, Pm md 63, AMD-65, Type 56, Type 56-1.

I don't think the M70 series ever made it there anyway.

Desert Eagle is a pretty stupid meme gun.

I'm kind of against even having bolt action rifles in the first place and a sniper class since they operate ranges far outside even Squad's engagement distances and are pretty useless apart from encouraging camperwhores.

MP5SD3 can be done by just adding a suppressor to the MP5. Easy. No need for the SD.

Mk 16 Mod 0 and G36C would function too similarly, plus AR-15 pattern rifles are cooler.

M107 would just make the sniperwhore problem worse. They tried it in PR but when they saw the kind of players it brought they hated it so much they flat out deleted it from the game. It's not a matter of the game itself but the players associated with it.

I just hope for shotguns and that they are not that useless like they are now in Insurgency Big Grin
I would like to see a G36 (because i am from germany) but I doubt it would fit because most would use the AR15 platform.

Desert Eagle and M107: HELL NO !
MGL would be fun but hard to balance. Maybe only 6 shots and as a gadget ?
And since I am a fan of Ak's I hope they put alot of it in the game Big Grin

p.s The other weappons you suggested would fit for the game imo Smile
