Adding more weight to this topic, it seems that the London based NWI official battles servers hosted by choopa.com are experiencing choke or resource contention.

I enabled net_graph 1 in the console and can see that the tick rate of these official servers drops at times to 10-15 from 64 and hovers around 30 most of the time. This causes severe warping and lag.

It's very frustrating that the non-official servers that don't have these issues are not getting used.

Tell us about it guys. These dev's are paying more attention to their profits than they are their players. They won't have much more profit if matchmaking sticks around any longer.

I noticed maybe 1 or 2 community servers in the list over the last few months. Other than communities, the game has suffered major individual player drop considering most of the individual players are apart of one or more of these communities.

Hey guys, I have a list of reasons why the promotion of community servers is absurd and why matchmaking is standard in games like Day of Infamy:

A lot of those things were mentioned here (but one thing I think is silly is the part where you said community servers "represent" certain things.. is this about the false accusations of "Nazi supporters" again? I think if people can't take history for what it is then they sure as heck shouldn't be playing a game with more than a few "bad words" in it either. No community in this game or any other represents anything dev's themselves shouldn't support, that being historical education). I believe we all still stand by the perspective of allowing community servers some light. This is backed up by the fact that most communities' players have left and completely stopped playing Day of Infamy. But hey, I guess they got a few extra dollars in profit. Thanks for your input on the subject though.

The accusation of a "Nazi supporter"-community is hypothetical. To be honest don't I have the slightest Idea how you can mix up the glorification of a terror regim and a digital game published in 2017. "Taking history for what is it" can only come from one without any experience in how history is to be dealt with on a scientific level. Without going any further I ask you to try your determinism on someone else and I'm sure about my statement, that a international company do not want to promote propaganda of WW2 ideologies of any kind.

This was actually an issue raised and discussed during our launch livestream, you can see our response here: https://youtu.be/mnXUyBRg8OY?t=9m31s

If you can think of some specific ways that we might improve our UI, please feel free to suggest that to us in a separate thread. But be mindful that we do want to ensure players can clearly distinguish an official experience from a custom one that may have features like a kill feed or custom content in it, and this plays into the design of our UI.

If you look at my thread: https://forums.newworldinteractive.com/t...19623.html , Mr. Pink post a picture where it's a compromise between the two. It's a great start and maybe add some filters for the server browsers. Since we actually had a developer respond to a thread, the 508th community server is 24/7 Invasion mode maps only. Anyway you can add Invasion mode to the rest of the maps. Thank you! Love the game by the way!
